Peter bought a rose and a carnation to dissect with the kids. They just learned about the parts of flowers in science. (Flowers are expensive in Alaska.)

We discovered that carnations are excellent flowers for dissecting. It is easy to see all the main parts of the flower after carefully taking off the petals.
